Who we are
VidSlicers (vidslicers.com) is a done-for-you YouTube editing service and the controller of personal information collected through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have.
What we collect
- Intake form submissions. If you fill out our form, we collect the details you provide — name, email, website or channel URL, and what you're publishing — so we can respond to your inquiry.
- Email. If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to work together.
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider may log standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and reliability. We don't use this to identify you.
- Optional website analytics. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed, broad country-level location, device and browser information, referring source, campaign information, scrolling, selected calls to action, successful form submissions, and video interactions. We do not send the contents of forms, names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information to Analytics.
- Embedded videos. YouTube remains unloaded until you press play. When you do, YouTube receives standard connection and device information and may set or read its own storage under Google's policies.
Analytics, cookies, and your choice
Google Analytics is optional and does not load until you select “Allow analytics.” If allowed, it uses _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish visits. We limit those cookies to 12 months, retain event and user data in Google Analytics for 14 months, keep Google Signals and user-provided data collection turned off, disable granular location collection, and deny advertising storage and ad personalization.
The site stores your analytics choice in your browser's local storage so it can remember your decision. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the “Privacy choices” button in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops further Analytics collection from this browser and removes VidSlicers Analytics cookies that the site can access.
VidSlicers does not use this site for behavioural advertising and does not sell or rent personal information.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and provide our services
- With your consent, to understand how the website is used and improve its content and performance
- To detect and prevent spam, fraud, and security threats
- To meet legal or regulatory obligations
Our legal bases
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for optional Google Analytics; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the website for essential hosting logs; steps taken at your request and our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries; and legal obligations where we must retain or disclose information.
Who we share it with
We use service providers only as needed to operate: Hostinger for website hosting, Web3Forms and our email provider for inquiries, Google Analytics when you consent, YouTube when you choose to play an embedded video, and — if you become a client — the payment processor handling your invoice. We never see or store your card details. These providers process information under their own privacy obligations and may process data outside your country using appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Inquiry details are kept for up to six months if we don't end up working together, and for the duration of our engagement plus standard bookkeeping periods if we do. Google Analytics event and user data is retained for 14 months. Security logs are retained according to our host's operational and security schedule.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing; and complain to your local data-protection authority. VidSlicers does not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right. To make a request, email our email.
Changes to this policy
